💨 Abstract
In Lesotho, clothing manufacturer Tzicc has halted operations due to U.S. tariffs imposed under Trump's administration. Once employing 1,300 workers, the factory now stands silent as American buyers ceased placing new orders amid uncertainty over tariff rates. The 50% tariff, one of the highest, has devastated Lesotho’s textile industry, which comprises the largest private sector and supports over 30,000 workers.
