Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 index surged over 3% after Japan and the U.S. reached a trade deal, reducing tariffs to 15% from 25%. President Trump celebrated the agreement, which includes Japan’s $550 billion investment in the U.S. Asian markets, like Hong Kong and Shanghai, also saw gains, while European and other trade deals remain pending.
