💨 Abstract
In Dhaka, a tribunal sentenced former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to six months in jail for contempt of court, stemming from a recording where she allegedly claimed a "license to kill 227 people." This is the first legal action against her since she fled to India following a 2024 uprising. The tribunal also began a trial against Hasina *in absentia* for crimes against humanity.
