A crowd surge at a Hindu temple in Haridwar, India, resulted in at least six deaths and 29 injuries. The incident occurred when an electric wire fell, causing panic among thousands of pilgrims gathered for the holy month of Shravan. Authorities are investigating the cause of the wire collapse and reviewing crowd management protocols.
