💨 Abstract
The International Criminal Court (ICC) reported Hungary to its oversight body for not arresting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his April visit, despite an ICC arrest warrant. The court's judges stated this action undermines the ICC's effectiveness. Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant face charges of crimes against humanity related to the Gaza conflict. Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán defended his decision, and Hungary began the process to withdraw from the ICC.
