Au Kam San, a former pro-democracy lawmaker in Macao, was detained under suspicion of colluding with anti-China groups and providing false, seditious materials. Au is accused of aiming to incite hatred against the Chinese and Macao governments and undermine the 2024 chief executive election. This arrest is notable as it's the first under the revised national security law.
