💨 Abstract
Three people were killed, and 10 injured in a mass shooting at a nightspot in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. This marked the territory’s first such incident in recent history. Police Commissioner Fitz Bailey described the event as deeply disturbing, attributing it to gang violence concentrated among Haitian communities. The shooting occurred amidst increased efforts to control illegal immigration, with thousands of Haitians residing in the area. The local hospital was placed on lockdown for protection.
