💨 Abstract
Puerto Rico's governor activated a state of emergency after a water outage affected nearly 180,000 customers. At its peak, around 3,000 customers, including hotels, remained without water due to damage to a main water line during road repairs. The governor appointed a coordinator to investigate and stabilize the water system, which has historically had supply issues. The National Guard has been deployed to assist with water distribution.
