💨 Abstract
A rescue operation is underway in Italy's Piedmont region to save a cave explorer injured by falling rocks about 40 meters underground. The man, part of a group, suffered a head injury on Sunday and is being treated in a heated tent. Rescuers are using explosives to widen the Abisso Paperino cave so they can safely transport him out. The cave is 170 meters deep and includes a fossil gallery. The injured man remains in good condition.
