A Russian journalist, Olga Komleva, was sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of "extremism" and "spreading false information" about the military for her links to an opposition group associated with Alexei Navalny. Komleva had worked for Navalny’s Foundation for Fighting Corruption and an independent news outlet.
