💨 Abstract
Sand and dust storms, caused by climate change and land degradation, affect 330 million people in over 150 countries, emitting about 2 billion tons of dust yearly. About 80% of this dust originates from North Africa and the Middle East, but it impacts global health, economies and the environment. These storms contribute to 7 million premature deaths annually, reducing crop yields and causing significant economic losses. The U.N.
