💨 Abstract

Turkey and Britain have signed a preliminary deal for Turkey to purchase Eurofighter Typhoon jets, aiming to modernize Turkey's air fleet. Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler and British counterpart John Healey signed the agreement at an Istanbul defense fair, with technical and pricing discussions still ongoing. Turkey seeks to join the Eurofighter Tyhoon consortium and is also pursuing re-entry into the U.S.-led F-35 program and developing its domestic KAAN jet.
