💨 Abstract

This article discusses a bilateral agreement signed between the United States and Ecuador on July 31, 2025. The pact, facilitated by U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, aims to enhance cooperation against transnational criminal networks. It enables the exchange of information on suspected offenders and risk assessments of cargo and travelers. The agreement supports U.S. President Trump's efforts to curb immigration and combat criminal groups like Tren de Aragua.
