💨 Abstract
An initial report on the June 12 Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, involving a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, suggests that the aircraft's fuel control switches were turned off, leading to engine failure shortly after takeoff. Investigators used data from the plane’s black boxes, which record cockpit voices and flight data, to determine that one pilot asked why the fuel was cut off before the crash. At least 260 people died, with only one passenger surviving.
