💨 Abstract
A wildfire near the Spanish border in France's Mediterranean region killed one, injured nine, and left one missing. The fire, starting in Ribaute, scorched over 11,000 hectares overnight. Despite 1,500 firefighters, it remained active amid unfavorable weather. This is France's largest wildfire this summer, underscoring Europe's vulnerability to climate change-induced fires.
