💨 Abstract
Appeals judges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) ordered Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan to step back from an investigation in Venezuela due to a conflict of interest involving his sister-in-law, who represents the Venezuelan government. Khan, who is on leave pending a sexual misconduct inquiry, has previously worked with his sister-in-law on other high-profile cases. This decision follows a complaint from the Arcadia Foundation, which had earlier been dismissed.
