💨 Abstract
Tropical Storm Erin is approaching the northern Caribbean, with heavy rains and dangerous swells expected. The storm is likely to become a hurricane by Friday, potentially strengthening into a Category 3 by Sunday. Tropical-storm force winds may affect the Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. While uncertain impacts are possible for the Bahamas, the U.S. East Coast, and Bermuda, most models predict Erin will move safely east of the U.S.
