💨 Abstract
A Chinese mountaineer, Guan Jing, died after being struck by falling rocks while descending from K2, the world’s second-highest peak in Pakistan. She had successfully reached the summit with a group of climbers a day earlier. The mountain is notoriously dangerous due to steep slopes, unpredictable weather, and frequent rockfalls. This is the second climber fatality in the region in two weeks. The regional government is working to retrieve Jing's body.
