💨 Abstract
In northern Mozambique's Cabo Delgado province, recent insurgent attacks displaced over 46,000 people, including nearly 60% of children, over eight days in July. The Islamic State-affiliated militants have been active for at least eight years, causing over 1 million displacements due to violence, drought, and cyclones. Rwandan soldiers are assisting in the fight against these insurgents, who are accused of severe human rights abuses.
