💨 Abstract
South Korea reports that North Korea is removing some of its loudspeakers from the inter-Korean border, days after South Korea dismantled its own similar devices to reduce tensions. North Korea’s recent broadcasts aimed to counter South Korean propaganda and K-pop broadcasts. South Korea's new liberal president, Lee Jae Myung, halted these broadcasts in June. However, upcoming joint military exercises with the U.S. could reignite tensions.
