💨 Abstract
When U.S. President Donald Trump imposed a 50% tariff on Brazilian acai exports in July 2025, Brazilian producers like Ailson Ferreira Moreira grew worried. The U.S. is the largest importer of acai, a popular superfood berry from Brazil. With higher tariffs, prices of acai in the U.S. are expected to rise, and a surplus in Brazil could lead to a price drop.
