💨 Abstract
Afghanistan's neighbors, including China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, and Iran, met in Tehran to discuss regional challenges and called for lifting sanctions on Afghanistan. Afghanistan, led by the Taliban, did not attend, citing existing engagements. The meeting emphasized economic ties, security cooperation, and the need for international support. Participants also addressed border tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, urging a reduction in violence. The next meetings are planned in Ashgabat and Islamabad.
