💨 Abstract

Alaska Airlines suffered a three-hour system-wide outage due to an unspecified technical issue. The disruption, which started around 8 PM, grounded all Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air flights. The airline has begun repositioning aircraft and crew, but residual delays are expected. Previously, the airline had a minor disruption in September due to similar technical issues. Earlier this year, the airline's crew was recognized for their handling of a mid-flight incident involving a detached panel.
