💨 Abstract
Denny's and Waffle House have removed the egg surcharges they added in February due to increased egg prices, which peaked at $6.23 per dozen in March. Waffle House's 50-cent surcharge per egg and Denny's variable surcharge were lifted in early June and late May, respectively. The price spike was caused by avian flu outbreaks, leading to the culling of over 174.8 million birds.
