💨 Abstract
A new Metro policy allows authorities to ban violent and sexual offenders from the system, effective Monday. This policy gives transit police an additional tool to stop repeat offenders. Individuals convicted of sexual crimes, violating Metro's Code of Conduct, or assaulting Metro employees, contractors, or customers can be barred from using Metro facilities, including trains, buses, and parking lots for over 24 hours. Repeat offenders may face a one-year ban.
