💨 Abstract

Due to concerns over past disruptive behavior, Dupont Circle Park in Washington DC will close this weekend during WorldPride DC. The closure, initially requested by local police, was later contested by city council members who advocated for keeping the park open. Dupont Circle is a significant location for the LGBTQ+ community, especially during Pride celebrations. The park will reopen on Sunday evening, with surrounding streets remaining accessible.
