💨 Abstract
A First Nation community, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (NCN), 800 km north of Winnipeg, declared a state of emergency following four suicides in the past month and five in the last six months. The community is experiencing increased suicidal ideation and self-harm, straining local emergency services.
