An substitute teacher, Carissa Smith, was arrested for allegedly offering money and drugs to students in exchange for sex. The incidents took place at Dixon Middle School in Missouri. Smith is accused of giving students marijuana and alcohol and letting them use drugs in her presence. She faces 19 charges including statutory rape, sodomy, sexual misconduct, and trafficking of a child.
