Actor Gary Sinise stepped away from his Hollywood career in 2019 to care for his wife and son, both diagnosed with cancer. His wife has since gone into remission, but their son passed away in January 2023 after a six-year battle with an incurable cancer. Sinise's last screen roles were in Netflix's 13 Reasons Why and the movie Joe Bell.
