💨 Abstract
In Turkey, at least 23 people have died and dozens more have been hospitalized due to methanol-tainted moonshine. The victims, including 26 foreign nationals, were from Istanbul, which is a popular European travel destination for 2024. The deaths occurred over the past two weeks, and it's unclear if the victims consumed the toxic alcohol at the same location or purchased it from supermarkets.
