šØ Abstract
Houston's police evidence room has a rodent problem, with rats consuming confiscated drugs such as marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, and cocaine. The issue, which began in October, has been resistant to professional extermination efforts. In response, city officials have decided to destroy narcotics evidence that is no longer needed for cases, previously only destroyed if it was confiscated before 2005.
