💨 Abstract
Barry Goldberg, renowned keyboardist who played with Bob Dylan during the controversial 1965 Newport Folk Festival performance, died at 83 following a decade-long battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Goldberg, a soulful piano player and fixture of the early 60s blues and rock scene, was born in Chicago and played with The Paul Butterfield Blues Band before supporting Dylan.
