💨 Abstract
The world's largest iceberg, A23a, broke free from Antarctica in December 2020 and is now heading towards the British territory of South Georgia. Fears are raised for local wildlife due to past instances of icebergs impeding feeding. The iceberg, over 1,000 feet tall and the size of Cornwall, is being monitored by researchers who are studying its impact on the ocean ecosystem and carbon balance.
