Wetherspoons, a popular pub chain, has closed 26 branches since July 2023, with two more currently at risk due to being up for sale or under offer. However, 13 new branches are opening this year across the UK, with two already opened in London Waterloo and Marlow. Tim Martin, the chain's boss, aims to open more branches as inflation eases, targeting sites in 130 towns and cities.
