💨 Abstract

Child sexual abuse (CSA) has far-reaching and devastating impacts on survivors, affecting their education, employment, relationships, and mental health. Estimates suggest that 11 million survivors live in the UK. The abuse can result in reduced lifetime earnings, persistent economic insecurity, and costly mental healthcare. Many survivors face a lack of belief and support when they disclose the abuse, leading to delayed healing and additional emotional trauma.
