šØ Abstract
A school in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, was evacuated after a pupil brought a WW2 hand grenade to a show-and-tell assembly. Headteacher Jeanette Hart quickly removed the grenade and called emergency services. Army bomb disposal experts confirmed it was safe. The grenade was a family heirloom the child brought without informing his parents, and he had no idea of its danger.
