💨 Abstract
Sony is shutting down PlayStation Stars, its loyalty program, for PS4 and PS5. Launched in 2022, it allowed users to earn points for purchases and gameplay, redeemable for discounts on PlayStation products. However, earning substantial rewards was difficult, and the program was not well-promoted. The shutdown starts immediately, with existing members able to redeem points until November 2, 2026.
