💨 Abstract
"The History of Sound," starring Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor, depicts a 1917 gay love story between a talented singer and a musical genius. Directed by Oliver Hermanus, the film is beautifully shot but slower than expected. The narrative, set during and after World War I, explores the evolving relationship between Lionel and David, inspired by themes from "Brokeback Mountain."
