💨 Abstract
A veteran LGBTQ+ activist, Peter Tatchell, claimed he was forcibly removed from Birmingham Pride by police who allegedly laughed at his story about past anti-LGBTQ+ arrests. Tatchell, who was an invited guest, held a sign criticizing West Midlands Police for not apologizing for historical anti-LGBTQ+ actions. Despite Tatchell's assertions that he had permission to march, officers escorted him out, stating they assisted security staff with his removal.
