💨 Abstract
Netflix's new Scotland-set crime series "Dept Q" has quickly ranked high on the platform, featuring Matthew Goode as detective Carl Morck. The nine-part show revolves around Morck, who is reassigned to a basement department after a failed investigation. He partners with a Syrian refugee, Akram Salim, to solve the cold case of a missing prosecutor. Director Scott Frank aims to replicate the success of "The Queen's Gambit" with this Scandi-noir adaptation.
