💨 Abstract
An ordinary Friday night turned transformative for the author when her child, Rohan, came out as trans. Initially overwhelmed, the author grappled with emotions ranging from shock to sadness. Rohan's journey was marked by stressors due to lockdowns, new college life but Rohans mental health began to spark concerns. She struggled to communicate but gradually found acceptance. Rohan returned to university, became an ambassador for the LGBTQ+ charity Just Like Us, and is in a loving relationship.
