Huckabee, the US Ambassador to Israel, criticized France's initiative to recognize a Palestinian state. He described it as "revolting" and inappropriate given the ongoing conflict with Hamas. He suggested France create a Palestinian state within its own territory instead of imposing it on Israel. Huckabee affirmed that the US would not participate in such an initiative.
