💨 Abstract

On Wednesday, a toddler snuck onto a baggage conveyor belt at Newark Liberty International Airport and ended up in the luggage check-in area. Two officers from the Port Authority quickly jumped onto the belt and rescued the child before he reached an X-ray unit. The incident underlines the dangerous environment in the airport's restricted areas, where powerful machinery poses significant risks. This event occurred amid ongoing issues at the airport, including flight cancellations and delays.
