The BBC's Elstree Centre, where shows like EastEnders were filmed, has been found to contain asbestos in numerous buildings, including studios and maintenance areas. The site, sold to AXA IM Alts, will be redeveloped into a modern film-making complex. The asbestos, found in over 150 places, will be safely removed as part of the redevelopment plans.
