💨 Abstract
A British backpacker, Alicia Kemp, faces up to 20 years in jail in Australia after being charged with killing a pedestrian, Thanh Phan, in an e-scooter crash. Kemp, who had been drinking for six hours, collided with Phan on a footpath in Perth's central business district on May 3. Phan died from brain injuries and Kemp's passenger was also injured. Kemp's bail was denied due to her potential flight risk.
