💨 Abstract
A police officer, PC Liam Reakes, was found guilty of gross misconduct after holding down the 'Z' key on his laptop to fake work hours while working from home. He cost Avon and Somerset Police over 100 hours of work. Reakes admitted to the behavior but denied trying to deceive his superiors. He claimed he did it to protect his mental health. The tribunal barred him from the profession, noting his actions were deceitful and damaged public trust.
