💨 Abstract
A plastic surgeon, Jonathan Peter Brooks, was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 22 years for attempting to murder his colleague, Graeme Perks. Brooks broke into Perks' home, stabbed him, and attempted to set the house on fire. The attack was motivated by Perks' testimony in disciplinary hearings against Brooks. Perks survived despite a 95% chance of death.
