đ¨ Abstract
A second night of riots in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, resulted in 17 police officers injured as rioters threw petrol bombs, bricks, and fireworks. Five people were arrested. Protests and disturbances also occurred in Belfast, Lisburn, Coleraine, and Newtownabbey. The violence comes after a peaceful protest in support of a girl allegedly sexually assaulted, with two 14-year-old boys charged in the case.
