💨 Abstract
NatWest plans to close 55 branches from September to February, citing a shift towards digital banking. This follows a wider trend of high street bank closures. While 80% of current account holders use digital services, NatWest will invest £20 million in improving remaining branches and offer temporary pop-up branches during the transition. A total of 52 permanent branches and three mobile vans will close in this latest round.
