💨 Abstract
In Antarctica, scientists using the ANITA detector discovered unusual signals from beneath the ice at steep, inexplicable angles. These signals, published in Physical Review Letters, challenge current understanding of particle physics. Neutrinos, normally expected, can't explain the anomalies, leading researchers to suspect unknown particles or interactions. The University is developing a more advanced detector, PUEO, to further study these mysterious signals.
